Tough talk but surely unrealistic. The oil will always be worth a bundle. China would love your scenario. They get all the oil at cheaper prices.

Both fed and state govt's depend too heavily on gas taxes to ever wean themselves off of it. Where would those billions be replaced and how? We be addicted to the stuff!
