I find it refreshing to finally have a President who is willing to put America's best interest ahead of even his own and his own party." Not if keeping Rummy gives us Kerry. I take your point however on the Rummys initiatives being important. Still think that he can be replaced with someone who supports these changes. Rummy can, and most certainly would, help in transition. He is a patriot above all else too. No book deals for Rumsfeld, i expect.
