Reagan cut federal mental health funding, sorry. Many hospitals were closed down. This created most of our homeless problem as we know it today. Like Reagan, Bush has cut veterans medical funding. More handicapped vets are out on the street as a result. They just don't like funding people in need. It's the far right conservative doctrine to let the sufferers suffer. That's well known. They call them freeloaders, etc. The fallacy of it all is that one useless SDI or MX missile system the rightwing loves so much would fully fund every program for the poor in this country. But they don't care about that. And they call themselves Christians. See, this is why Christ would definitely vote against Bush-Cheney.
