If they're smart, they will make the most of the opportunity and send the clerics back to the mosques. Not very many countries are going to spend a couple of hundred billion dollars on them.

I think you hit the nail on the head. The question is, will the common Iraqi be able to withstand the cries of the fanatic clerics? I do not include ALL clerics in that category but obviously there are some like this Sadr fellow who are only interested in setting up their own little fiefdom and not in a unified Iraq. jdn
