So? They were still Americans and what was done to them was outrageous.

Again, so? Is this your answer to the atrocities that took place? Does this somehow excuse the actions that took place against these people? Also, this action against Americans was perpetrated by terrorists, not Iraqi citizens.

You close with:
we have no control over the mobs in Iraq. We may condemn it all we want. It will be of no use. We do have control over our government and our military. At least I think we do.

My point is that you and most of the World media and DEM politicians are giving this mob of terrorists a moral pass while attempting to crucify the entire US military. Sorry, but I don't buy that argument.
