That's the only "lie" the rightwing can find in a Moore film, they're in trouble because that gun at the bank scene was done for laughs. The real meat of the film was nothing to laugh at and it was all very real. The opinions of that article are the writer's opinions only. Moore was not saying NRA members are stupid, he's saying they are hiding their true nature, and that we ought to beware, not just of them but of the whole gun culture mentality in general. Remember, the very right the 2nd Amendment defends can also be abused to take over the country or arm terrorist organizations. What the NRA is really thinking is that only white rightwing extremists should be allowed to have arsenals. That's what it's really about about, the whole militia movement mentality which as we found out in Oklahoma City can be very very dangerous.
