Catholics are supposed to voluntarily abstain from communion unless they are in a state of grace. Some bow to pressure and pretend to be in a state of grace when they re not, some believe that they can pick and choose which of the Church's commandments to adhere to. I have no right to judge any other person's relationship with God, but based on her public statements, I believe that Nancy Pelosi, for one, does not care what the Church commands, she does what she thinks is right. Which makes her a Protestant.
