And when it comes down to it, who really likes Kerry? Who wants him? I live near Boston. I ought to be seeing scads of such people. I hardly see any. The Boston Globe can barely stand Kerry; the Boston Herald hates him. Who likes the guy?

Everybody partisan that hates Bush.

My husband has some very wealthy clients that are seriously thinking of going to WDC and living in a hotel for the next 6 months to join the campaign to elect Kerry. ( He told them that they had to follow their heart, which I thought was very PC of him -gg-)

There are a lot of people with a lot of money backing this guy. I think the same could be said for Bush.

The ABB ("Anybody But Bush") crowd doesn't need to like Kerry to vote for him. Some who would otherwise be voting for Kerry I hope will be voting for Nader.

I think the election will once again be decided by the swing voters, who I'm told generally vote against incumbents. I therefore expect a tight race.

Kerry's problem is his pompous manner. I cringe when I hear his voice, particularly its intentional lowering to a basso profundo when making a speech, the delivery that only Jesse Jackson can match. He sounds like a High Episcopal minister who's really, really pissed that the choir boys took a few coins from the box.

Clinton was a master campaigner, one would think that Kerry would be following his example. The difference between the two is that Clinton genuinely likes people, though he regularly stabbed many in the back, while Kerry is not gregarious. Kissing a baby is clearly beneath him.

Nobody likes the guy because he comes across as a pompous windbag elitist.

I predict a rather large victory for Bush. The economy is recovering strongly, jobs are being added, and the progress is sloggily steadily in regard to the WOT.

If we catch or kill Ben Laden it will be a knock out punch for Kerry.
