He has ADMITTED having WMD and he clearly attacked and/or supported wars in the neighborhood.

Same goes for America, plus we used our WMD against civilians. By the way, who did he attack?

His use of terror and killing of innocents on Lockerbie and other flights is something that you deny????

It certainly hasn't been proven.

Tom

You do remember that the bombing of Lybia preceeded the PanAm 103 attack, don't you.

The demonization of Qadhafi began with the Reagan Administration, somewhat out of the blue. He had all the usual arab traits, he didn't like Israel, he had oil which he was selling to democrats instead of republicans, and he was proud.

The U.S. attacked Lybian boats in the Medeteranian sea, followed by a bomb, perhaps from Lybia in a german nightclub, and then the bombing raid on Qadhafi's tent in which his daughter was killed.

The air raid not only did not effectively and efficiently chastise Qadhafi, but it convinced him to take the only known state sponsered attack on an airline, the incident over Lockerbie. Afterwards Reagan gave up (as he did after each counter attack on American forces).
