Hi Ian, Re: GENE As you mentioned the stock met resistance on Friday at the 5.17level from 9.45AM until 10.30AM and tried that level again at 12.45PM. It was able to hold ground with the Ls around 5.12 to 5.13 until 2.45PM when the L broke to 5.10 and the Hs came down to 5.12 Today it started on the downside together with the general market. It had a 5 minutes down tick on a volume of 104,740 at 9.35AM when it traded from 5.05 to 4.89 At present the nearest intra-day support is at 4.75 and resistance at 4.99 to 5.00 On a daily chart, the stock remains on its near term down trend that comes from the H on April 26 at the 6.85 level. On the weekly chart it seems it may test support at the 4.25 to 4.30 level. The loss for 2003 was about half that of 2002 and the estimated earnings for 2004 are a loss of $0.54 (about $0.18 less than last year) (the loss for the 1stQ was already $0.23 less than in 2003 in spite of lower revenues of 1.8M vs 2.7M <g>) I haven't heard the CC this morning. Did you? They announced the hiring of new executives to lead the commercialization of its FDA's approved antibiotic, FACTIVE. As I mentioned on my previous notes, I have not been watching the market closely and decided to take profits on several positions last month, as I was satisfied with the profits in the last year and thought it was best to increase my cash position and enjoy the Florida retired life a little more.<g> RAGL Bernard
