Buddy, The economy, burdened with Surpise Side Goofiness, created few actual jobs. Not a problem for the govt. We simply assume that jobs are being created in the small business category, which we can't sample. And we correct any interim mistakes at the end of the year. This new scam replaces the old Entreprenuerial Model scam, which over estimated jobs in small cos. the entire time it existed. Of course, they were corrected at year end, but hair trigger traders had already made their mistakes. This time, the administration is hoping brain dead voters will believe one more economic lie. Add this to GDP, overstated due to the hedonic pricing of computers, productivity, overstated because GDP is one of its feed numbers, and CPI, understated because so many entitlements are based on it, oops, I mean it doesn't measure the way people now live in America. The Budget Deficit doesn't include Iraq, but we're not spending any money there.

Clinton also used this crap to his advantage, but the neocons seem to be trying to fine tune results for political advantage to a degree Clinton never needed, as he was actually achieving something.
