I REMEMBER The Loyalty Oath; it happened several years B4 I started Cal. Also remember the early demos against it; seeing, on TV, the HUAC protestors getting washed down the stairs of SF City Hall by fire hoses.
Interesting comment about the heart; I've long suspected that there is nothing wrong with Repubs that couldn't be fixed by either the Wizard of Oz or a good heart transplant surgeon.
