This game will fail, consumers will stop spending and foreign capital will stop supporting the game. So what does it all mean, they will TRY and fail - deflation will win this battle and the DEBT BUBBLE will collapse. What does this mean for gold, a bad investment. Unless the dollar collapses in the process of the debt collapse. But then again, as RR said, dollars become wanted to pay down debt and gold is a hedge against such an event - not an investment. So place your bet, if you do not have a property with land, a water source (good forage or well), a great garden to grow food, wood or fuel source - debt free from the bank ..... then why do you own gold, you cannot eat it, but the food I can grow I can trade I will trade for your gold if the collapse comes. Solution - so simple that many will never get it. Reread two books, HDT - On Walden Pond (he had it all figured out long before all the self help gurus of today) and The Millionaire Next Door. First we hope the next generation of our kids rebel against the current US lifestyle, go for less is more - buy a small car, save, do not go for trends in anything, plant a garden, do things that are free (bike, hike, paint - it will happen and it will be good.) So many are serfs to the system, just how they want it, in debt and working for the bank. I had a great friend, used to visit California and coined the phrase "Illusions of Grandeur" - folks living the lifestyle thinking they had made it. How many friends do you have that live in too big a house with too little in the bank. On Walden Pond, now this is the way to live life, not quite to this level but become an unconsumer. My wife and I often wonder whom buys so much of the JUNK we see in the stores. We can live with so much less, on budget if we plan - and be happier in the process. Ask yourself, are you a serf to the system or do you have control of your own life. 99% of the world population and 96% of the US population are serfs. The government and the bankers LOVE YOU. Enough rambling, lets watch the game unfold, into July is going to get mighty scary............. West
