You think so? Under your understanding of the law we can prosecute you.

On what basis, because I posted a publicly available document here on this thread?

Then yes... technically speaking I could be prosecuted.. But since I was not part of the original release (theft) of the information, nor have I sought any financial gain, and I have only sought to use the publicized report for the purpose of docmentation and evidence.

Basically, the law is a "catch all".. For instance, I'm J6P walking down the street and I happen to find a bag of trash stashed down in a culvert... I open up the bag and discover a bunch of classified documents (not understanding that was apparently a "dead drop" awaiting a pickup by a foreign agent).

So I decide to send them to the press (or just pass them out on the street corner) since I don't like 'dem "high-falootin (insert hated political party) and here's my way to get some payback for that IRS audit" I had last year...

Bingo!! I just broke that statute and I can get 10 years for my efforts....

Same with the SOB who released this report, compromising the integrity of the investigation, and severely damaging national security efforts with regard to maintaining peace and stability in Iraq..

I hope he gets life, should he/she ever be discovered. In fact, it might be one of the people who stood to be reprimanded in the investigation, figuring they were going to "pass the heat up the chain" and distract from their own complicity.
