When you deal with a situation which has global implication it is hard to evaluate the actual benefits.

Lets look forward and not try to blame each other for things that already happen and can not be changed

Who benefited - well all the Persian Golf countries except Iran, more so Saudi Arabia by planting a US controlled divide between them and Iran - Iran had/has plans to overtake the whole gulf region - Iran is Shia SA is Sunni.

Turkey benefited by having quiet at their eastern border, even that they were against the war.

Indirectly India benefited by removing much of Pakistan influence in Kashmir.

Pacifying Libya was a net result of Iraq war - how much is that worth? To some extent Algeria also benefited as has Georgia and certain Balkan countries.

Not benefiting are Syria, Egypt, Jordan and Israel .. each country in a different way

If things would have moved as planed the US would have benefited handsomely and there is still a chance that we may succeed.

Syria and Iran will lose then handsomely as will Egypt ruling party to certain extent. Jordan and Israel are still a question mark IMHO
