Bush wouldn't fire Rumsfeld even if he DID choose to consider it (which he wisely doesn't). He would lose the Red States, like his father did. It's time for Bush to end the apologies to the subhuman Islamic enemy and resume killing them. The boundary between gracious statesmanship and pure foolishness has been reached. I believe he knows that, and will now not cross it. Nuking of several Iraqi "holy" cities would be very appropriate at this time. Nuking Syria and Iran would be even better...
