These guys are not from the middle 40%... let's face it, we're all pretty, um, serious about our politics on this thread. Hardly a reflection of the overall population.


I think its possible that eventually the American public will want Rumsfeld to resign when they find out the scope of the porno pics [last count I heard, they're up to 1000 pics] but nearly 50% still think the Iraq war was the right thing to do.

I'm not saying it will happen overnight. But people have graphically seen what arrogance and aggression and the rest of the bellicose crap can do to our kids. It made them monsters. Can anyone picture their own little girl doing what English did? Guess what folks, it's not by any means out of the question. And as more kids come home emotionally crippled, people will take note.

People are slow to turn around in these situations. It will be years.

These things take a while to seep into the American psyche. In Vietnam, it seemed to take forever. "Love it or leave it" was the battle cry of middle America for many, many years. Then, it changed.

Yeah, it took years like I said above.
