I started to laugh, but stopped myself. If it's ridiculous, it's possible.

I heard someone mention Powell as a likely replacement. That sounds reasonable. We should consider it unlikely to happen.

There won't be time to confirm a new secretary before Bush is defeated. Rummy will try to hold out, and may last a couple of weeks. It will be a continuing PR disaster for Junior. LOL It will also keep Cheney in his secret location since he does not want his face seen while people are talking resignation (or dropping him from the ticket).
