longshort, this is an OT discussion, but as long as we are having it: Can you provide one citation that says that Gore said any of those things Of course he can't. The Republicans' defense of the obvious below-average intellect of their 2000 Candidate for President was was to try to produce equally stupid quotes of Al Gore. And again, showing their incredible chutzpah, they take quotes of their own boy (the original doubya stand-in) and attribute them to Gore. Gore might have been an idiot, but he wasn't stupid.

How about when algore went to Mount Vernon and after looking at busts of the FATHERS he said, "Who are these guys". Gee you think being at Mount Vernon would be your first clue.
