Quarrelsome, irascible? No. Sorry. For what it's worth, I am ready to listen to anyone's point of view and I read a great deal. How else can one learn, even at my age? But, for me to change my point of view, the argument has to be very convincing. In fact, I argue with myself more often than others do. BTW, I still have this strange problem with my ADSL line and cannot upload more than about 1200 bytes to this site. No problem with dial-up. So I have learnt that if I want to make a long post I must disconnect the ADSL and re-connect with the dial-up. Extraordinary. And what is even stranger, I can "ping" the network to SI using ADSL or dial-up with any size packets I wish and without any loss whatsoever. I have informed the ISP but they haven't come up with anything.
