The news item is what the other nations think about the US. The US is indeed posing itself as the world's moral policeman when they go around and tell the nations that democracy is the best thing on earth and that they should adopt it. I am not debating the merits and demerits of democracy. My point is the US imposing its culture, its political system etc, on other countries and once we accept that then we would be better positioned to understand the remark "...world's moral policeman."
