I see you're right - my statement was too strong. Guess I was remembering statements made by Dean during the Dem primaries.

I see the bill Kerry wanted only wanted to raise taxes on double income professionals, doctors, corporate execs, etc.

Nevertheless, IMO it is not proper to refuse to fund an effort when troops are in the field out of a desire to raise taxes.
