Here is another upbeat assessment of the semi area.

<<Ridgeland, MS, MAY 07, 2004 (EventX/Knobias.com via COMTEX) -- Semis are back. Since 12:40ET on Thursday, semis have been on a roll gaining 3.6%. The technically oversold group has quietly advanced this week. Beginning Tuesday morning, the SOX gained 4.3%. Industry strength is broad-based, with processors (INTC, AMD), DRAM (MU, IFX), flash memory (SNDK, LEXR, SSTI, FLSH), equipment (AMAT, LRCX, NVLS, KLAC) and programmable (XLNX, ALTR) gaining. Investors are buying with little pushing. KLIC is up 8.5% on an upgrade to Neutral at CSFB. INTC (+2%) abandoned a new desk top chip.>>
