If it is hollow and corrupt, it is in part because decades of US policy turned cynically to the UN only to endorse US actions.

And what US actions do you find so despicable? Advancing democracy?

Maybe you would have preferred that the UN cater solely to the agenda of the non-democratic and totalitarian members?

Maybe you believe it should cater to the agenda of the Islamo-Fascists?

As for who's "losing", the fact that you find yourself in a position of trying to COERCE respect for the corrupt leadership of an organization that is contemptuous of upholding the very charter that brought it into existence strikes me as a losing battle..

I have a lot of respect for the UN, as embodied in the agenda of the UN charter.

But I have very little respect for the leadership, or for certain member nations who believe they can advance THEIR OWN cynical agendas in defiance of that charter..

And we saw exactly that when France, Germany, and Russia vetoed the enforcement of a material breach in order to protect their economic interests.

So why don't you be a "bright boy" and quit defending the indefensible??..
