I enjoy hearing other opinions about the National debt which really bothers me.

The debt is all relative, Suma. When I settled out and went into retirement, my mortgage was ten times what it was when I first bought a house. But my income was thirty times. If you run a business on a cash basis only you limit the hell out of your ability to increase the size and profits of it.

The National debt becomes a problem when we increase the percentage of the available Government income needed to pay the interest on it each year. So as long as we can grow the economy faster than the Politicians spend bucks, we are ok.

Do I like the pork, et al, that is being appropriated? Of course not. Do I think we can get the politicians to quit spending it? No. So our choices are:

Go broke.

Grow the economy fast enough to pay for it.
