However, I think (who in hell really knows) they want someone like a Rumsfeld to respond in a predictable fashion (very agressive) to inflame the passions of lethargic Arabs sitting around praying. In other words, to drive the uncommited into their camp.

I'll buy that, too.

I referred to Rummy's departure as a "cheap thrill" for a reason. Even if they don't think it's in their long term best interests, they would still experience the jubilation of a victory at seeing one of the enemy go down. They might regret it, though, in the morning.

IMO, to begin with, the terrorists are looney tunes to even think about starting a war with us. Look at the resources that we have and look at the resources they have.

I do not believe to this day we have a handle on all the resources they have.

The war has begun and is well underway. We know what they may have. We must be prepared for the worst.
