CR, You are the one rational poster for the kerry campaign. Frankly, I am disappointed with Bush in not controlling spending more. However, I firmly believe a low tax environment generates more economic activity and ultimately more government revenue.

I also feel that those who think not confronting the radicals in the middle east are wrong. How it is done is clearly an issue.

Taking comfort that a kerry presidency would be controlled by a Republican congress is interesting. It means you do not want kerry - you just do not want Bush!

CR, I too feel like you. But I continue to be apalled at the ferocity of the right wingers to grab power from the day Clinton took office in 1992.

This belligerency has finally been carried too far with the Abu Ghraib situation. In the Arab world, where we are trying to win the hearts and minds of the people so as to encourage them to embrace out form of Govt. we insult their culture by parading women in front of their men folks who have been stripped naked.

We all wonder who is in charge, what is the chain of command? Rumsfeld could not provide an answer in spite of the Pentagon knowing about it since January. So as far as I am concerned, it is not anybody but Bush. It is about getting Kerry in since he said "In my Administration, I will demand accountability (assumes he would put in place a chain of command)."

Currently we have Rumsfeld running foreign policy, Cheney running the Presidency and probably Wolfowitz running National Security.

So it all about accountability and accepting responsibility by the President.
