What makes you think he didn't know? Because he doesn't read and if there was any conversation (dialogue as with ONeill?) he was probably told somewhat like "a certain number of abuses are just normal in war" and "there are always a few bad apples". And I believe he doesn't ask serious political questions except those about his public appeal. Not knowing as a strategy. My impression is that of a rather infantile person. I think he knew but hadn't see the pics. Most people without pics would not truly get the magnitude of the crime. Certainly, someone like Bush, who is linguistically challenged, would clearly miss the gravity of the problem without the pics. That's why Rumsfeld worked so hard to protect Bush.........first order of business......protect the president at all costs. So first we get Rumsfeld; then we go after Bush. <g> ted
