Holy Warriors Attack Mourners

Today Palestinian Arabs lay in wait as mourners gathered at the spot where Tali Hatuel and her four daughters were murdered, then opened fire. (Hat tip: zulubaby.)

Palestinians opened fire Sunday evening on a large group of Israelis who had congregated at the site of the attack on the Hatuel family near the Kissufim crossing in the Gaza Strip, Army Radio reported.

The group of people arrived at the site to mark a week since the murder of Tali Hatuel and her four daughters.

There were no injuries reported in Sunday evening’s incident.

IDF troops identified Palestinian armed men near the area of the attack. A tank fired a shell on a house in which the men were hiding. At least one of the terrorists was killed from IDF fire.

The terrorists were disguised as Palestinian women as they walked toward greenhouses, situated some 300 meters away from the site, where they waited for the congregation to arrive then opened fire, Channel 2 reported.

The econuts don't use the above examples to have rallies and cry, "the sky is falling!"

No, but the "abductees" do. The difference is that no one bothers with them. Folks simply tell their kids, "it's just a movie."

I'm looking forward to the movie. Apocalypse stories are my very favorite. Last week I even watched that really crummy movie, 10.5, all the way to the end. I trust this one will be better.

Just heard on the farm report that the econuts are keeping the locks open on the Missouri River this summer. That will lower the water and expose sand bars so some sort of tern can nest on the sand bars. What's really nuts is they have been successfully nesting on the banks for at least 60 years with the locks closed. Hell, I've seen them nest on my neighbor's gravel drive way.

What's really bad about this is the water will be too low to operate barges on the river. Millions of tons of fertilizer and grain are transported on the river each year. Not this year. Then there's the people with huge investments in barge loading stations.

Econuts #2. Ben Cone bought 8,000 acres of timberless land on the Black River in North Carolina. Ben Jr. planted the 8,000 acres in pines, followed all the guidelines for best timber management. Did selected cutting to pay the taxes and get some ROI. What he also did was to create a nesting area for the red-cockaded woodpecker, endangered woodpecker in some of the parts first planted.

Now you or I might say way to go Ben and Ben Jr. Keep up the good work. The econuts said no more cutting. Ben Jr. says "My reward has been the loss of $1.425 million in the value of the timber I'm not allowed to cut. ... I feel compelled to massively CLEAR-CUT the balance of my property to prevent additional loss."
