Mark, welcome to this thread. During the Sunday morning talk shows, I have heard some participants make the same point. But with the situation being what it is, I doubt if the Administration will succeed in keeping things private in the name of national security.

IMO, this has nothing to do with the Presidential elections. It is about human dignity. If this happened on US soil, the perpetrators would face criminal charges. But since those folks are in Iraq under orders form the President the situation is not as simple as a jail warden going astray. I starts with the President and his chain of command. Such actions sow the seeds of terroism and instead of fighting terror we end up creating more terror.

We need to start with a clean slate in November.
