I haven't either but does that mean anything? Is the media likely to mention something like that? I am just very puzzled who the "civilian contractors" at Abu Ghraib were? Sure, I accept there could be "civilian contractors" at building sites, oil wells etc --- but in the maximum security jail?! And giving orders.

Not if it was officially instructed. But, in fact, the military admit to have known about it since January and the Red Cross, since last year. The torture etc was clearly not a secret.

I don't know if W is a worse person than Saddam. Not much to choose between the two, I'd say. But we still have to see whether W murders the leaders of the opposition party. <g>
