If bankruptcy is inevitable it's not uncommon to run the credit card up to the maximum first and then declare.

that's why I said -- I think this is an "interim period" -- don't know how long it lasts, but I'm a bit skeptical of those calling for a dollar rally that lasts for many months, for the same reason you mentioned. How can it possibly play out over several months?? gold isn't really a currency, but for a while it sure acts like one??
