I agree. We should be more humane and kill them on the battlefield. War is ugly.

So let me see if I get your point. Human rights advocates should just shut up about Americans sodomizing prisoners, because the only alternative is to kill them on the battlefield, even though it's possible to imprison them, which is murder, but the murderer can at least get away with it without anybody looking over his shoulder and second-guessing him?

I made a mistake, I thought you and men like you had a moral code that precluded the arbitrary and cruel misuse of force. That was foolish, appears to be what you're telling me.

If we want ya'll to fight, we have to be willing to accept anything you feel like doing, because war is ugly.

In this particular case, let me remind you that we were not forced into war, it was voluntary. So we brought this ugliness onto Iraq ourselves. What is the justification? Allegedly, it was to bring superior government and treatment to the Iraqi people. But we are not capable of that, is what you are saying. Rape, torture and murder is what we bring.
