Wow, CB....how did you get to that cliff? Based on the actions of a few perverted young people stationed in the prison? And a woman commander in that prison who didn't bother to show up?

Just observing the posts....and seeing the lashing out...makes me wonder, and worry, where we are headed.

Your statement certainly doesn't speak for me....especially this part.......>>>>>>"Americans who most favored the war in Iraq actually detest the Iraqi people, hold them responsible for 9/11, and want them dead"<<<<<<<<<

I sincerely hope that the Iraqis get their stuff together, because the reaction to Abu Ghraib has made it painfully clear to me that the Americans who most favored the war in Iraq actually detest the Iraqi people, hold them responsible for 9/11, and want them dead.

That's over the top, CB. Most Americans are upset that Americans could behave that way, what's so terrible about that reaction? Others, like me, are more upset that this mess clearly shows that the current Pentagon, though it can id and investigate such a mess, could not stop it and clean it up in a timely fashion.

Empire?

Wish for Iraqi dead?

Whoa, now!

What aspects of the reaction to Abu Ghraib lead you to conclude that those who most favored the war detest the Iraqi people and want them dead?

What the hell are you talking about?

Have you lost your formidable reasoning capacities?
