Bloody right, mate! You touched the nerve now! There's nothing -absolutely nothing- like economic growth to get youngsters to behave well.
Economic prospects and the chance to achieve let the guy have something to lose, since humans are not losers by nature they will stick to what they have.
If I would be a commander in Iraq now, I would start offering jobs with a salary, plus mobile phone and credit to buy motorcycles and cars. Uniform free of charge.
That's the defuser.
Do that and terrorists will have a tough time recruiting young people...
