I'd love to see a back tested study of his model, but adjusted to wait for price to actually confirm his signals. If so, he'd be flat right now, waiting for price action to actually prove that price can go up.

To me, that sounds better than being "early".

My sense is that many of these "long" models work terrific... only in up trending markets.

No rocket science in this assumption.
