Well, I understand your feelings, but being a Vet myself, let me assure you the statistics are on YOUR SIDE if he does have to go. We hear of each death and it is tragic, but its still a small minority of the persons serving. Here's a good story for you: My childhood friend was AGHAST when he learned I was marrying a Filipina, here is why, he told me, "I spent two tours in Nam and never had a weapon drawn against me (he was in AF intelligence) and I went on TDY to the Philippines and was held up with a 12 gauge shotgun my very first day there". ie he considered the Philippines to be more dangerous then Nam, at least for him. haha. jdn
