I suspect that on its list of options, Israel has the possibility of a preemptive nuclear strike on Iran

I seriously doubt this, but I'm sure the message is being sent that nothing will be left of any of the major cities of Iran in the event of an Iranian nuclear strike on Tel Aviv, with special attention given to the mullah's sacred city of Qom. Israel made its second-strike submarine capabilities public for a reason.

C@,
Read nicholas kristoff in last weeks NYTimes where he freely moves around iran and talks about the wonderful young folks who are ready for freedom. Which will come first; a velvet revolution or a mushroom cloud? Its a very important quesstion and our policy makers now preoccupied with iraqi porn are probably about to drop this ball. Mike
