says he only has American cars, forgetting about the Audi and the Land Rover.

To quote the immortal Scott F., "The rich are different". Mr. Kerry is fully entitled to forget a car or two, parked in his grand stable... -g/ng. His noticeable inconsistency on issues is worrisome, however. He is not going to get my vote, but I would prefer that the candidate of the opposing party would be an impressive person and a true statesman, for who knows? He may win.

He can't simultaneously be a war hero for serving in the war, a moral hero for being against the war, and a moral hero and a war hero for being for the war again.

Well, I don't have a problem with him taking credit for going to Vietnam when he pretty clearly could have gotten out of it, fighting by almost all accounts pretty bravely and putting himself in harm's way, and then coming back opposed to the war.

I do have a problem with constantly harping on it. I appear to be one of the few people around who has heard him speak several times now, and believe he is an intelligent guy who might (emphasize that word, please) make a fine President. A better President than candidate. But part of that will of course depend on who he surrounds himself with. And part of it will depend on circumstances beyond his control--whoever serves the next four years as President will have an incredibly difficult job. A job made far more difficult than it had to be by the current administration, IMO.
