"Noneheless, I think we do need to keep some perspective on the issue. It's inflammatory because it contradicts our own notions of who we are and what we do but it also, ironically, shows our strengths, our ability to hold those who are responsible accountable pursuant to laws and procedures that work, something the Muslim world is seeing in action and which should open some eyes. This is positive."

Could be extremely positive if we try folks hire than private. Humiliate the humiliators. And fire the guy at the top, so the real guy at the top can survive. Dont any of the rummy cronies have a sense of loyalty left for the president? Maybe its because i am old, but i have never seen such a reluctance to hold someone accountable. Loyalty is a great trait, but this borders on the bizarre, especially bushes talk today. Mike

<<I'd like to know who was responsible for disbanding the Iraqi army in the face of troop levels that couldn't prevent widespread looting.>>

They disbanded themselves before the US army could get to them. Hadn't been paid in a year, about to be killed, they took off their uniforms and went home.
