This is not about abused prisoners at all. Its the understaffed war on the cheap US military not being able to do its usual great job at overseeing things. They are spread to thin and too reliant on contractors and seemingly non-qualified or disinterested reserve officers up to general--eg karpinski. This is why i am pissed off. Rumsfeld kept denying the war on the cheap, spread too think mantra and he was dead wrong and deserves to go. The prison is one small sympton as are unneecessary casualties. The big thing lost is what we came to iraq to win--the hearts and minds and a chance for a better future. Maybe lost is too strong a word but if this is all to be found, it will be found by new folks who dont have a dog in the cya fight now going on. mike
