maybe it's different this time - he could be paid off to keep from typing the word.

Because he hasn't typed TIMBER yet, everybody figures that the bottom isn't in so they dump their stock right into the hands of the evil marketmakers who bribed him so they can scoop up all the shares at bargain basement prices.
