Hmm. We'll have to add 'dense' to the list of your attributes. The Catholic has a stricter and more formal hierarchy than Islam, but Islam still has a hierarchy. Clerics must study, lecture, and write for a good number of years, gathering respect in the Islamic community. When they have achieved an admittedly arbitrary amount of respect for their work, they are recognized as an ayatollah. The rank of Grand Ayatollah is one that requires an agreement of a council of Muslim elders. Although less formal, this hierarchy is still recognized as the means of Islamic leadership. Ayatollahs generally are the religious leaders for specific areas, much like Bishops and Cardinals. Islam lacks a unifying single religious leader at the top of the heap, but still has a hierarchy, with leaders at various levels having more authority to issue opinions on doctrine. Bin Laden is simply a cleric; roughly equivalent in scope and power to a priest. Yes, the Pope has much more control over the entire church hierachy, which allows him the ability to make sure that the priests are correctly instructing their flocks, and making sure they are not evil men; for example, that they're not pedophiles....uh oh, well, maybe it doesn't work that well. Where have you seen Islam call for murder? Which Grand Ayatollahs are advocating jihad against all Christians? What a friggin' twit. The priest answers to the Pope. Priests answer to the Pope, eh? So, that means that the Pope must advocate pedophilia, since he has so much control over them. Yeah, right. See how much 'better' the Catholic hierarchy is than the Islamic one? Ranking in islam is meaningless I am constantly amazed by you. You utter the stupidest arguments, ones that I believe cannot be surpassed in their ignorance, and then you come back with another that is even more idiotic. You must literally bathe in your inability to see past your nose. Ranking in Islam is meaningless? Because you declare it so? If so, I assert that ranking in Christianity is also meaningless. Obviously, with Christian 'leaders' like Falwell, Robertson, Swaggert, and Bakker. With a Pope that can't stem a decades long epidemic of priests who like to bonk little boys. There are so many branches of 'Christianity', it makes Islam look absolutely monolithic. Of course none of this makes sense to you, so myopic you numbskulls are. You cannot see the implications of events and think enough in essentials to develop a reasoned response to them. It is all just leftist "I'm okay, you're okay" crap with you. Very well then. No more. The left is pissed off. We've seen our country run through the shitter by neocons, and we want it back. This crap about the 'abuse' (sh*t, if Saddam does it, it's torture, if we do it, it's abuse) has put such a mark of shame on America that it will take YEARS to recover our dignity and the moral high ground.
