Clive Maund is one of the best, if not the best technician, publishing on the web. See the below link to his recent article which not only sums up the gold market but explains the strength in the dollar as a rush to dollars to pay off debt before interest rates rise. This seems to me to be consistent with what the technicals are saying and it would make sense that this must end before gold resumes its uptrend.
