Me too. President should have known. He shouldnt have been blindsided. Rummy let him down if nothing else. I hate that the left is enjoying this failure in american policy. And i hate that the right cannot see critism of mc cain and hagel et al as necessary.
I think it was nadine who said no one could replace rumsfeld. God help us if she is right. Mike

One of my problems with this "replace Rumsfeld" thing is that no one in the media or political stream seems to remember some previous military screw ups when our young bucks either were horny or without effective supervision. Example - USN fighter jocks and female pilots/sailors at Las Vegas convention a few years ago. Some of our Marines in a rape of a Japanese girl in Okinawa a while back. The matter of our Air Force Cadets getting out of control with fellow female cadets at the Academy. In these cases, the misbehavior of our military was even against our own. In Iraq, it is against the enemy. Let's see. Did any of those "high energy" congress folk or the liberal weenies call for the head of Secretary(s) of Defense back when these events occurred? Nope.
