That is the pictures came to light. Reminds me of people who thought Rush Limbaugh came clean with his drug addiction instead of what really happened when that hypocrite got caught. Sort of like a kid who gets caught with his hand in the cookie jar trying to take credit for not eating any. That's the extreme right wing's mentality really. They always claim that they came forward with the news when they get caught. Same as the Nazis in Germany. Because they know a lot of uncritical people who lack the ability to analyze their statements will believe they are innocent because they want to believe. No one want's to believe our troops tortured prisoners, but they did. That's the flat out truth that can't be ignored anymore except by ostriches like cyberken. Not only did our troops torture but it was systematic, directed and approved by officers right up the line. It was a culture that justified it's inhuman actions because of 911. We should be better than that, but this is the culture of Bush at work. A culture of emotional revenge instead of a rational culture of justice.
