I am not talking about replacing Rumsfeld. I am trying to make the point that there have been other military events (in the past) where the troops got out of line or received poor supervision resulting in some " bad news" for the military and criticism by the press. When these events occurred there was no demand that the Secretary of Defense resign like there is going on today. That is my issue. I would not replace Rumsfeld based on everything I currently know. In fact I just signed the Federalist petition supporting him.
