ho ho ho -- trying to make sense of Kudlow

>>Why are stocks performing so poorly when all the economic news and most of the earnings news is so much better than expected? Interesting how the talking heads address this issue. Larry Kudlow simply assumes the market has it wrong. That's different than his appraisal of the markets when they were heading higher. He reminded us then that the market is a great discounting mechanism that was forecasting economic growth and a tremendous growth in earnings. Larry was right then. So why should he give up on the notion that the market might be predicting an economic decline and declining earnings going forward?

I checked the BKX today and was surprised at how puny it looked --

GM is an auto short <g> given it's that the profits flow from the financial part of the biz. GE is a short and not just for the financial part of the biz, IMO.

I am warming up to an HHH short -- seems like it would be easier to just ride that stupid index back down, than risk getting beat up in ASKJ or some other high flier ...

I like gold AND silver -- folks who think you can have a gold bull market and silver stay in the dumps -- well, they are probably someone who bought SSRI at +15 or PAAS at +18 and thought they were going to the moon. In the longest timeframes -- silver is more bullish than gold -- it's been in a huge bear market. Might be time to put some more in the backyard or safe or safety deposity box -- I know it's heavy, but that's the breaks, man.

I think CSCO has a better than 50/50 shot at torpedoing this market tomorrow night -- what do you think??
