You're absolutely right that I am only one person out of a nation of almost 300 million.

I am just one person with Bush-Cheney bumper stickers still on my car from the last election, who volunteered to be a block captain, who has served on the County Committee, who volunteers to answer phones and stuff envelopes and hand out literature, and volunteered my kids to do the same. One person who has always let the party put a sign on my lawn, even though nobody else will. One person who gives a few thousand to the party during elections, or at least did. One person who has never voted for a Democrat in my life.

One small insignificant person. Losing my support is irrelevant.
