What a terrible thing for the Dutch to discover. But you can be proud of the good Dutch for throwing the rascals out.

I think that the reason that Bush made such a strong statement of support for Rumsfeld, to the world's horror, is that Bush is a weak president who is deeply dependent on smarter surrogates to govern for him. He simply doesn't know what to do if Rumsfeld abandons him.
